Katarina Ott, Prof. Dr., is director of the Institute of Public Finance, Zagreb, Croatia editor of the journal “Financial Theory and Practice”, trustee of the “Prof. Dr. Marijan Hanzekovic Foundation”, teaching courses at Faculty of Mathematics (Public sector economics) and at Master of European Studies, Faculty of Political Sciences (Process of EU accession as a key to economic and institutional transformation) at Zagreb University. She heads projects and publishes works in the wider area of public sector economics. Her main area of interest is the relationship between government and the economy, above all the underground economy, the budget, public sector reform, local finances and in particular public sector transparency, government accountability and citizens’ participation. She is actively participating in Global Movement for Fiscal Transparency, Accountability and Participation; Open Government Partnership, and Global Initiative for Fiscal Transparency.
