An Italian national, Giulia Pastorella is a PhD Candidate and ESRC scholar at the London School of Economics with a thesis on the impact of the Eurocrisis on the political legitimacy of governments. Before that she worked for Hanover Communications, a consultancy whose clients include the Open Government Partnership and the European Commission. She holds a Double Master’s Degree from Sciences Po (Paris) and the LSE in European Affairs, and a BA from Oxford in Philosophy and Modern Languages.
As an Italian, I know all too well that Italy has not always been considered at the forefront of the open government movement. But things are now changing fast.
